The first sitting witnessed one starred question and two unstarred questions. The first question put by Dg. H. Amaresh Chakma, MDC addressed to the Executive Member i/c Forest & Environment Dg. Susen Chakma enquired regarding the appointment of Mahalder for collection of broom stick for 2016 and revenue proceeds thereof.

Borapansury-I VC Dissolved
Kamalanagar, March 10, 2017: A notification issued on 10th March 2017 dissolved the Borapansury-I Village Council for the second time after the previous dissolution order of CADC was quashed by the Gauhati High Court Aizawl Bench while stating that reasonable opportunity was not accorded to the village council for explanation.
CADC District Council Level Monitoring & Review Committee, NITI Ayog Meeting Held
Kamalanagar, 7 March 2017: The District Council Level Monitoring & Review Committee of CADC held its first meeting today in the CADC Conference Hall to examine the progress of different works taken up under Special Assistance of NITI Ayog.
Five Houses In Bazar Area Of Borapansury Gutted to Ashes By Fire Accident
Borapansury, 4 March 2017: Five families were rendered homeless in a fire accident of Bazar area of Borapansury. Nothing could be salvaged out of the raging inferno. Properties worth some 50 Lakhs were destroyed and turned to ashes. However, no lose of life was reported. Two of the victims had businesses, one dealing in drugs and another in hardware.The incident occurred at about 6 pm on the fateful evening of 4th March. The accident is suspected to have originated from a power short circuit.
CEM CADC Attends All ADC Meeting In Shillong
Shillong, 16 February 2017: Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC while representing all the three ADCs of Mizoram attended a meeting of all the Autonomous District Councils under Sixth Schedule to the Constitution held in Shillong, Meghalaya. There are ten ADCs in all under the Sixth Schedule.
The meeting discussed fund allocation to the ADCs under NITI Ayog and amendment of Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
Gauhati High Court set aside the dissolution order of Borapansury-I Village Council
Aizawl, 8 Feruary 2017: The Gauhati High Court Aizawl Bench set aside and quashed the dissolution order of Borapansury-I Village Council issued by the Executive Committee of CADC on the charges of irregularities, corruption and misappropriation of Public money. Aggrieved Shri Dhal Kumar Chakma, VCP and six other members challenged the dissolution order in the Guahati High Court, Aizawl Bench and a case was registered under WP(C) No.204 of 2016.
68th Republic Day of India Celebrated At Kamalanagar
Kamalanagar, 26 January 2017: Kamalanagar witnessed a colourful celebration of Indiaβs 68th Republic Day organised at the Kamalanagar football playground. Pu Lalfakzuala, Sub-divisional Officer (Civil) and Chief Guest of the programme did the honour of hoisting the National Flag. Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC and Dg. Governor Lt. Gen. Nirbhay Sharma Visits Kamalanagar
Kamalanagar, 14 Nov. 2016: Mizoram Governor Lt. Gen. Nirbhay Sharma who is on a visit of the three Autonomous District Councils arrived Kamalanagar today at 10 in the morning by helicopter. He was received by the Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC and Pu. Lalfakzual, SDO (Civil) at the Kamalanagar helipad. The guard of honour was done by the 225 Battalion CRPF based at Kamalanagar.
Mizoram Governor Is Coming To Kamalanagar Next Monday
Kamalanagar, 10 November 2016: His Excellency the Governor of Mizoram Lt. Gen(Rtd) Nirbhay Sharma will be on a tour next Monday, 14th November 2016 to the three ADCsβCADC, LADC and MADC. He will land at the Kamalanagar helipad at 10:10 am and will stay for about an hour. He will be visiting developmental works such as Kamalanagar College, Modernization of Kamalanagar Town and Kamalanagar Town road under SPA.
