Kamalanagar, February 16, 2018: The CADC Trophy Football Tournament which was scheduled to kick off from 15th March was postponed to 25th March while considering a petition submitted by Central MCSU that the tournament would disturb the students appearing the ongoing HSLC board examination. Rajiv Kumar Chakma, Sport Promotion Officer speaking during the opening ceremony of the tournament held today at the Kamalanagar Football playground informed that the matches of the tournament will be played from 25th March. Kamalanagar, November 9, 2017: Dg. Amit Kumar Chakma, MDC was sworn-in as Chief Executive Member, Chakma Autonomous District Council today following the approval received from the Governor, Mizoram on his stake of claim to the office of the CEM.

Governorβs rule imposed on CADC
Kamalanaga, July 4, 2017: Invoking para 16(2) and para 20BB of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India the Governor finally assumed the power and functions of CADC by an order issued dated 4th July, 2017 while at the same time instructed the Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai District, who will act on his behalf, to ensure a free and fair floor test of the Chakma Autonomous District Council within a week.
DC Pledged To Sanction Rs.40 Lakh for Construction of Bridge Across River Tuichawng At Parva

Muthamma Laxmi, DC, Lawngtlai who happened to be at Parva to attend the programme of visit of Union Home Minister pledged a sanction of Rs.40 Lakh for construction of a bridge across river Tuichawng at Parva. Having witnessed the flooding of river Tuichawng in Parva she felt Rs.40 Lakh will not be sufficient and assured the local leaders to make the construction of the bridge a continued scheme.
46th CADC Day Observed; Chakmas and Tongchangyas Are Descendents Of Two Brothers, says CEM
Kamalanagar, 29 April 2017: Speaking on the occasion of celebration of 45th Anniversary of the momentous birth of Chakma Autonomous District Council Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya said, βChakmas and Tongchangyas are the descendants of two own brothers, Bijoygiri and Udaygiri.β
4 Executive Members of CADC Tendered Resignation
Kamalanagar, 24 April 2017: In a turn for a new political development four Executive Members of Chakma Autonomous District Council resigned from their office today. There are eight Executive Members including the Chief Executive Members. The reason for their resignation is yet to be ascertained but it is believed the move is to install a new CEM.
12th Chakma District Council Employee Association General Conference Held; Refer Cases of Promotion to The Employees Association
Kamalanagar, 20 April 2017: Dg. Santosh Chakma, President, CDCTA while speaking on the 12th Chakma District Council Employees Association General Conference suggested to refer any request for promotion/pay up-gradation to the two Employees Associations of CADC to avoid acquiescing out of political compulsion. The proposal was made with reference to an advice to the employees in general by Dg. Amit Kumar Chakma, i/c CEM, CADC to refrain from making request for undue/underserved promotion.
The CDCEA conducted its 12th General Conference from 20th to 22nd April and elected a new Executive Body. Dg. Amit Kumar Chakma i/c CEM, CADC and Dg. Dayal Chandra Chakma, Chairman, CADC graced the occasion as its Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
Tourist Lodge At Kamalanagar Will Be Handed Over To CADC
Kamalanagar, 30 March 2017: The Tourist Lodge Kamalanagar owned by the Govt. of Mizoram will be handed over to CADC on lease for a monthly rent of Rs.2000/- and will be managed by CADC. The term of the lease is for a period of 10 years. An agreement towards this has been already signed.
CADC Full Budget, 2017-18 Passed
Kamalanagar, 22 March 2017: Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC presented the full Budget Estimates for the financial year 2017-18 in the third sitting of the Session held on 20th March 2017 for an earmarked allocation of Rs.2001.67 lakh under state planning and Rs5373.90 lakh under Mizoram Finace Commission (MFC) Grants.
Besides, Rs.141.82 lakh was earmarked as Village Council Remuneration under MFC Grants. The Budget was passed on fourth sitting held on 23/3/2017.
