CADC Winter Session Concluded

Kamalanagar, November 24, 2014:The CADC Winter Session 2014-15 which started on 20th November 2014 concluded today with the passing of the Budget for this fiscal year.

The Budget mover Dangu Buddha Lila Chakma, CEM, CADC presented the Budget in the first sitting on Thursday. The budget made provision for an allocation of Rs.2406.95 Lakh under Plan Sector and Rs.3510.00 Lakh under normal Grants-in Aid, Non-Plan Sector. There is also an amount of Rs.52.18 Lakh earmarked for Local Bodies under LAD being Special Area Basic Grants. A projection of Rs.61.08 Lakh through collection of Local Receipt from various sources has been made.

Nominated Members of 9th Chakma ADC Sworn-In

Kamalanagar, October 14, 2014:In a notification dated 9.10.2014 of Government of Mizoram, the four nominated Members of the 9th Chakma Autonomous District Council namely Dangu Dhakmoni Tongchangya s/o Bilo Kumar Tongchangya of Vasetlang-I, Pu Lalsangliana s/o Sangleiala of Parva-III, Dangubi Sneha Maya w/o Sadhu Dhan of Borapansury-I and Dangubi Niharmala Chakma d/o Lokkhi Chandra Chakma of Kamalanagar-III have been appointed by the Governor of Mizoram with effect from 26.9.2014.

CADC’s Second ‘Vote On Account’ Passed

Kamalanagar, 24 July: The Second ‘Vote on Account’ of this financial year for expenditure of Chakma Autonomous District Council for four months from August to November which was presented by the Hon’ble CEM, Dangu Buddha Lila Chakma before the House in the first sitting of the Monsoon Session last Monday got passed today.

CADC Monsoon Sesssion Begins

Kamalanagar, 21 July: Monsoon Session 2014 of 9th Chakma Autonomous District Council started today with the Hon’ble Chief Executive Member Dangu Buddha Lila Chakma presenting the second ‘Vote on Account’ for expenditure of the Council for the next four months i.e. August to November. Projected expenditure under Plan sector was for an amount of Rs.469.00 lakhs and Rs.1170.06 lakhs  under Non-plan sector of normal grant-in-aid.

CADC Budget Session Conludes

Kamalanagar, 28 March:The CADC Budget Session which had its first sitting on 24th March concluded today with its second sitting. The Budget mover Hon’ble CEM, CADC Dangu Buddha Lila Chakma besides the Demand for Grants (Budget Estimates), 2014-15, placed the Supplementary Demand for the year 2013-14 and sought a Vote on Account on the Budget Estimates, 2014-15 to meet the essential expenditure for the first quarter period of the fiscal year. The regular Budget, he said, shall be passed at a later date when the Planning Commission finalizes the State Annual Plan of Mizoram for 2014-15.

CADC Budget 2013-14 Passed

Kamalanagar, May 10:The CADC Budget for the current financial year was voted and passed today in the 3rd sitting of the 3 day budget session. A Budgetary allocation of Rs.3195.00 lakh under Non-plan sector and Rs.1537.00 lakh under Plan sector as normal Grant-in-aid was made for the Council by the State Government on which the Budget was prepared.

The official bill moved by the Hon’ble CEM, CADC Dr. Buddha Dhan Chakma yesterday in the second sitting, which sought to expand the Executive Committee from 6 members to 8 members, was also voted and passed.

CADC Budget Session 2013-14, Second Sitting

Kamalanagar, May 9:The second sitting of the CADC Budget Session discussed the Budget today which was placed before the House on 6th. The budget with its maximum share going towards administrative cost, the discussion concluded early.

After the discussion got over, the Hon’ble CEM, CADC Dr. Buddha Dhan Chakma presented an official Bill. The bill sought to expand the Executive Committee to 8 (eight) members from the existing strength of 6 (six). The Hon’ble CEM, CADC stated, in justification for bringing in the Bill, that the need to expand the Executive Committee has become imperative with the increase of departments and increase in number of member to the District Council. There has been an increase in the number of departments under CADC with the entrustment of the Minor Irrigation department and Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation department. With the delimitation of the MDC constituencies the number of member of District Council has increased from 17 to 20.

The Session was adjourned till tomorrow when voting on the budget and on the official bill shall take place.
