CADC Censor Committee Screens Video Album
Kamalanagar, 14 June 2016: The CADC Censor Committee for the first time screened a video album, titled “Hoshpana Monsaap” produced by Dangubi Rita Chakma. The screening found objection with two shots in the title song of the album being vulgar and imposed cuts.
The meeting of the Committee decided to draft a guideline based on which the screening will be conducted. All private as well government albums, documentary, film etc. produced in CADC will be subjected to screening before mass production for circulation or sale. All such works must bear the certification from the Censor Committee before their release whose display will be mandatory.
Route and Fare For Kamalanagar Town Bus Service Declared
Kamalanagar, 14 June 2016: In a meeting with all the local NGOs including that of Chawngte L and Chawngte P, town area VCPs, SDO, (Civil), Chawngte and OC, Police Station, Chawngte in the office chamber of CEM, CADC the route and the fare for the Kamalanagar town bus service were fixed. The meeting was chaired by Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC. CADC has procured two buses for providing passenger service within Kamalanagar town and adjacent villages.
Approach Road to New Kamalanagar College Building Blacktopped
Kamalanagar, 13 June 2016: Blacktopping of the approach road to new Kamalanagar College building, located at Aratinagar, has been completed with fund provision under additional plan fund 2015-16. A amount of Rs.80.00 Lakh had been sanctioned for the work. The CEM, CADC Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya inaugurated the road on 13 June 2016.
The new Kamalanagar college building has been completed a few years back with fund provision under NLCPR. It was constructed at an estimated cost of 224.00 Lakh. The approach road being katcha was one the reasons why the new building could not be occupied. The new building is also without electrification and water connection. These basic requirements have to be provided before the College can be shifted.
The CEM, CADC while speaking on the occasion said that the DPR for the Block-B has been prepared. He said, ‘This time we will ensure the class rooms size are big enough’. He made this remark in view of the small size of the class room in the newly built structure.
CADC To Introduce Town Bus Service in Kamalanagar
Kamalanagar, 11 June 2016: CADC has procured two buses to introduce bus service within Kamalanagar town. At present only taxi service is available for the commuters of Kamalanagar town.
The private passenger service will face a competition with the introduction of the bus service. So far, passengers have to be at the mercy of the taxi service because of absence of any other service provider.The service will mark a new chapter in the chronicles of CADC’s development. CADC MDC LAD Fund Introduced
Kamalanagar, 11 June 2016: CADC MDC LAD fund has been introduced for the first time ever in CADC from this financial year. The scheme is also practiced at the state and central level.
This year Rs.20 Lakh has been earmarked under the scheme. Rs.8 Lakh has been already sanctioned. There are 20 MDC constituencies in CADC. Continue reading
25 KW Solar Power Plants Installed at CADC Cultural Hall
Kamalanagar, 23 May, 2016: A 25 KW solar power plant installed at CADC Cultural Hall was inaugurated today. Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC inaugurated the set up with much euphoria.
The power plant was installed by Zoram Energy Development Agency, Govt. of Mizoram. 90% of the project cost is born by MNRE and the rest is born by CADC. Two more such power plants will be installed very soon, one at CADC Rest House, Kamalanagar and the other at CADC New Secretariat. The total project cost is 3 Cr. Continue reading

Kamalanagar, 17 May, 2016: Yesterday, Sub-Divisional Officer of Chawngte RD Block, Pu Lalfakzuala, who is also the Block Development Officer, visited Borkolok in CADC to locate a site for setting up of an amusement park. Kamalanagar, 10 May, 2016: Dangu Laxmi Bikash Chakma who was elected to 9th Chakma Autonomous District Council in the by-election to 10-Mandirasora MDC Constituency held on 28/4/2016 was administered the oath of office yesterday in the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Chawngte. Pu Lalfakzuala, SDO, Chawngte administered the oath of office.

BJP Wins the Mondirasora MDC By-election Under Chakma Council
Kamalanagar, 30 April 2016: The BJP won the Mondirasora MDC by-election of Chakma Autonomous District Council which was held day before yesterday. Three contestants were in the fray, one each from INC, BJP and MNF party. Dangu Onishmoy Chakma, Dangu Laxmi Bikash Chakma and Dangu Purna Chandra were the candidates for INC, BJP and MNF repectively. Dangu Laxmi Bikash Chakma secured 605 votes, Dangu Onish Moy Chakma 369 votes and Dangu Purna Chandra 180 votes. Continue reading
