CADC winter session held

Kamalanagar, 14 February, 2022: The Chakma Autonomous District Council winter session which started today concluded over a single sitting.

The sitting answered two starred and two unstarred questions all of which were put to the House Leader and Chief Executive Member, CADC Dg. Rasik Mohan Chakma.

In reply to a question put by Dg. Shanti Jiban Chakma, MDC regarding revision of pay of Members of District Council as per the new CADC Member’s Salary Bill, the CEM, CADC informed that the matter will be taken up immediately after the ongoing Mizoram Assembly Session, as has been assured by the Deputy Chief Minister, Mizoram over telephone.

“Additional grant of Rs.1303.52 Lakhs has been allocated in the current financial year which is yet to be sanctioned”, the CEM stated in reply to another question by a Member.

The CEM further stated that Rs.5 lakhs has been spent for procuring school text books for distribution free of cost but did not distribute them as school had to be closed due to Covid-19.

In response to another question, it was affirmed that CADC would be celebrating completion of 50 years of formation of CADC while giving some details of preparation undertaken like installation of statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, publication of a souvenir, display of hoardings, etc.

CEM, CADC visits CADC Fish Seed Hatchery under construction

Kamalanagar, 13 February, 2022: The CADC fish seed hatchery under construction at Dulubonya with funding under MLA Local Area Development Fund, 2021-2022 was visited yesterday by Dg. Rasik Mohan Chakma, Hon’ble Chief Executive Member, CADC accompanied by Dg. Amit Kumar Chakma, EM, i/c Fishery, Dg. Lokhidhan Chakma, Dy. Chairman, Dg. Uday Tongchangya, MDC, Dg. Hara Prasad Chakma, DAO and Dg. H. Nutan Chakma, DCFDO.

The construction at a cost of Rs.20 lakhs includes a water storage tank of 45,000 litres capacity, a circular breeding pool, two hatching pools, a spawn collection chamber, a spawn packing cum rest shed, five nursery ponds and one brood fish stocking pond.

The CEM, CADC was all praise for the fishery department, the implementing agency with the quality of work. The CEM expressed the need for construction of a chawkider quarter and fencing the area with wire mesh while assuring the department for fund provision in the CADC budget.

The hatchery will be ready for production within the end of this year and will be inaugurated by Dr. B.D. Chakma, Hon’ble MLA. The hatchery once ready for production will do away dependency on outsourcing of fish seed supply for fish farmers in CADC. It will also be a great source of revenue for CADC. In pursuance of decision taken by the Executive Committee in its meeting held on 9/2/2022, the Executive Committee of Chukma Autonomous District Council is pleased to direct the Recruitment Committee constituted to recruit Assistant (Non-Gazetteed), UDC, LDC, C/A-I, C/A-II and Group – D posts, 2021-2022 under different departments of Chakma Autonomous District Council, to resume the ongoing process of Recruitment which was put on hold as per the direction of the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram Vide L/No. F.12013/11/2022-DC&MA(C) Aizawl, the 19th January, 2022 . The committee should complete the entire recruitment process and submit the report to the undersigned latest by 23rd February, 2022.

Result of recruitment to the posts of Teacher (PST, MST)

This is to notify that after conclusion of both Written Examination and Personal Interview for 10 (ten) posts of Middle School Teacher (Science & Mathematics, 4(Four) posts of Middle School Teacher (General and 46 (Forty-six) posts of Primary School Teacher under Middle/Primary School Education Department, Chakma Autonomous District Council, the candidates as shown in the following Annexures in order of merit are declared selected for consideration of appointment.

Re-constitution of Village Task Force Committee

As we are all aware, COVID-19 has been spreading like wildfire across the length and breadth of Chawngte Sub-Division, preventive measures are the need of hour to contain the further proliferation of the virus. To this end, Village Councils, NGOs and local functionaries outside of Chawngte Town area are strongly urged to reconstitute Village Task Force Committee at once for the sake of preserving community health.

Furthermore, local leaders are requested to identify and propose buildings for 3C and 4C. The same proposal must reach the undersigned on or before 7th February, 2022.

Banking activities timetable for Chawngte Sub-Division

In the larger interest of eliminating the chances of COVID-19 community transmission and doing away congestion/overcrowding on bank premises and in supersession of this office’s order of even number dated 29th May, 2021, it is hereby ordered that VEC Chairman or his/her representative must pursue banking activities strictly according to the timetable as given below.

Covid-19: Restriction on entry of vehicles

With the emergence of the Omicron variant, the third wave of COVID-19 has struck the country. In a stringent move to thwart the spread of the virus, vehicles coming from other districts/states are not allowed to enter the Chawngte Sub-Division between 10PM to 5AM.

Inter-district/state travel, and driving, in general, is not permitted during the hours mentioned herein. Nevertheless, for emergency cases, permission may be obtained from the undersigned in advance.

Further, those who are found in contravention of this order will be fined.

Covid-19: Fine System against defaulters of SoP & CAB

In view of the resolutions of the COVID-19 meeting held on 28th January 2022 at SDO Conference Hall, fine system against defaulters of SOP and CAB issued by the Govt. of Mizoram will be implemented with immediate effect

As per The Mizoram (Containment & Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19) Act, 2020, various fines to be imposed are as under:
